December “Community Caring” – Scituate Community Christmas

There is a bin in the office collecting items for Scituate Community Christmas.  Items they are always in need of are toys, puzzles, books, games, sports equipment and gift cards.  We will deliver our donations on December 13th.  If you would like to donate, please bring in items by December 13th.  As always, this is optional.

Miss Patti and Mama Steph

Miss Patti from Funtastics will be here on Thursday, December 5th for the afternoon classes.  Mama Steph will be here to sing holiday songs for all classes on Monday, December 16th and Tuesday, December 17th.

Thank you to all who donated!

Our pajama drive was hugely successful!  Scholastic will donate a book for every pair of pajamas we collected!  This is the 10th year that Scholastic has participated in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive and so far they have collected over 100,000 pairs of pajamas!  It was exciting to be able to help out in our own little way!

  • We will be closed for Winter Break from Wednesday, December 18th through Wednesday, January 1st. Classes resume on Thursday, January 2nd.
  • We go outside every day, weather permitting. Please make sure you send your child with hats, mittens, snow gear if necessary and boots.  Mittens are much easier for the children than gloves.  We encourage the children to try and put on their own gear and they are very proud when they are successful.  Gloves are difficult and frustrating for little ones to maneuver.  Please label their clothing to ensure that they don’t get misplaced. Thank you!

An Owl’s Crossing Favorite song:

I took a lick of a peppermint stick,

And oh was it yummy!

It used to be on my Christmas tree,

Now it’s in my tummy!

Hoot of the Month

What do snowmen eat for breakfast?

Frosted Flakes!
