Outside Play Clothes
With the cold and snowy weather upon us, please send in snow pants, snow boots, warm jacket, hat, mittens and extra socks every day. For sanitary and safety purposes, we do not allow the children to walk barefoot in school. Please send in a change of shoes or slippers for your child to change into after playing on the playground. Please label all clothing with your child’s name.
Hootie’s Safety Lessons
We began our Safety Lessons last month with Safety Tip #1, “Wear Your Seatbelt”. We discussed the importance of always wearing your seatbelt in the car. We all learned a new song – “Buckle Up for Safety” (sung to the tune of “If you’re happy and you know it”) ‘When you’re riding in the car, Buckle Up…When you’re riding in the car, Buckle Up…When you’re riding in the car, riding near or riding far…When you’re riding in the car, Buckle Up”. Safety Tip #2 will be “Crosswalk Safety”.
Valentine’s Day Cards/Parties
Please have your child bring in a valentine for each child in their class. Have your child sign their cards but please leave the envelope blank. The children will deliver their valentine’s to their friends at the Valentine’s Day parties on Friday, February 9th for Little Explorers, Tuesday, February 13th and Wednesday, February 14th.

I’m going to wrap myself in paper.
I’m going dab myself with glue.
