Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

We will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday throughout the month of March.  We will be voting on our favorite Dr. Seuss book; The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, or One Fish Two Fish.  Which one will win?!

Specialist Visits this Month

Miss Kim will be here to do yoga the morning of Friday, March 6th.  Miss Patti from Funtastics will be here the morning of Tuesday, March 10th.  Mama Steph will be here the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10th.

Dinosaur Days

We will be stomping into Dinosaur Days on Thursday, March 12th and Friday, March 13th

St. Patrick’s Day Parties

We will celebrate the “Luck of the Irish” on Monday, March 16th and Tuesday, March 17th.  Maybe we will have a leprechaun sighting on our search for a pot of gold.  Wear your green today!

Reminder, Professional Development Day, Wednesday, March 18th

Owl’s Crossing Preschool will be closed on Wednesday, March 18th for the teachers to participate in a day of Professional Development.

Hootie’s Safety Lessons

“Hootie’s Safety Tip #2” was “Look All Ways When Crossing the Street”.  The children learned the song to the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle”:  “Look all ways when you cross the street, pay attention to your feet.  Look to the left, and look to the right, make sure there are no cars in sight!  Look all ways when you cross the street, staying safe is really neat!”  Safety Lesson #3 will be Monday, March 23rd and Tuesday, March 24th.

Docent Art, Pre K Classes

Mrs. Adams will present Paul Klee whose art was inspired by “cubism” and Albrecht Durer who worked with “engraving” and “block printing” during the week of March 23rd.

Owl’s Café

Owl’s Café will be open on Monday, March 30th and Tuesday, March 31st.

Pre K Lively Letters for Pre K

New sounds for the letters “I, X and Y” will be introduced this month.

Letter Days for Pre K

O, P, and Q will be introduced for Letter Recognition Days.

Save the Date – 8th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival and Portfolio Viewing

In celebration of the arts and in conjunction with the Scituate Public Schools Spring for the Arts, the 8th Annual “Owl’s Crossing Arts Festival and Portfolio Viewing” will be held on Tuesday, May 12th.  More information to follow!
